Though it's a mere pocket of sand -  located on the north coast, en route to Maracas - it is undoubtedly one of Trinidad's most scenic beaches. Shockingly, Peechon Cove remains steadily under the radar as the trip here involves a little hike, which keeps it un-crowded. Let's take a look at another unique feature of Trinidad's landscape that surely confirms that true beauty can be found in the most inconspicuous places. Tucked away in a forested area of Chaguaramas, one can observe an expanse known as the Bamboo Cathedral.  For years, this setting has been a popular destination for people to experience the splendour of  Mother Nature. The view is, even more, breath-taking when having a pleasant stroll at twilight.  What makes this place one of Trinidad's most popular destinations is the stretch of roadway that cuts through the dense vegetation, transporting visitors into a landscape of soaring bamboo stalks that bend towards each other above the roadway forming arches reminiscent of those found in cathedrals. It is the perfect place to bring family and friends for that special getaway on the island of Trinidad. This hideaway is located in Gran Couva, Central Trinidad and comprises of 250 acres. Our shores have become two of the world's most important nesting grounds for the leatherback turtles.
