Peechon Cove

Can't decide on where to go over the weekend or what to do during the summer? You don't have to as Peechon Cove is the place to be.

Though it's a mere pocket of sand -  located on the north coast, en route to Maracas - it is undoubtedly one of Trinidad's most scenic beaches. Rugged, wild, and untouched are just some of the words used to describe this Cove.

Shockingly, Peechon Cove remains steadily under the radar as the trip here involves a little hike, which keeps it un-crowded. Nonetheless, this secluded mountain-coddled Cove has to be one of my absolute favourite destinations in Trinidad.  The obscure location also makes Peechon Cove an idyllic getaway for natural relaxation. Com'on, is this not picture perfect?

What makes this beach so unique is the amazing waterfall which falls approximately thirty feet into the ocean - such a sight to see! After hiking to the cove, you can enjoy a revitalising bath surrounded by nature. There are also mysterious sea caves beckoning in the distance that makes you wonder what lurks inside. I will leave it up to your imagination to run wild.

For the adventurous seekers, there is a ledge at the cove that is approximately 35 feet above sea level and from this ledge one can plunge into the Caribbean Sea.

This place is a great one for photos. I have taken many photos here and people are always amazed and immediately ask where this gorgeous place is.

There aren't enough words that can describe the greatness of this place. Come to Peechon Cove if you simple want to relax and take in your surroundings. Surely, you will not be disappointed!!
